So why is it that bicycles are using solid tubes like crazy, and we don't seem to have any luck with solid motorcycle tubes?  The basics of the technology would be the same.  The only solid tubes for MCs I have seen are the mousse tires, and those are good for about 15 miles.  Can't somebody invent this?

There is a rubber filled tire. You take your tire in and have Goodyear or Firestone Fill it. The draw back with this tire now that it is filled it weights about 75-90 lbs. This type tire and fill have been in use of about 40 years. The rated speed  of the tire now is about 35 mph. If you have the nerve. The thing can't be balanced. Tires last for ever and even when the tread is gone and only sidewalls  are left you can still run the tire and wheel. Once the rubber is worn out you have to get a new wheel and tire. NOT very practical for a bike.Wheel barrow or fork lift, man lift, lawn mower it works great. ...scrufy..
