I bought a 2005 C50 with 7000 miles in Sept '07. The bike is set up for touring. I haven't owned a bike or ridden since the 70's and I was worried that it would not be enough bike because I am over 6'3" and weigh close to 300 lbs. But I am happy to say the bike exceeds my expectations. It has plenty of ass off the line and it cruises at 65 mph with no trouble. Since it is not one of the Big 3 metrics, I was able to get a good deal. I like its classic look. The only drawback is that you have to remove the seat and gas tank to get to the spark plugs...but only every 7500 miles. Good Luck with the bike you pick !

Yeah, my guy's got a VTX1800. I'm definitly lookin' for something that can keep up, and something that I won't get bored on either.

Take a look at the Triumph line, I've got an '03 Bonneville with 38k miles and it's been rock solid. They're unique and cooler than the other side of the pillow. Be careful though, it'll get a lot more attention than your bf's bike (and out run it too) and he might get jealous!

Hi. This is Tom Stanley. I have a qusetion about shaft drive Vs Belt drive and which is better. I have a Yamaha 2005 Vstar 650 classic and like it very much. It is a shaft drive. I am thinking of trading up to a Suzuki Boulevard C50T. Some of the articles I have read like the bike alot but would like to see it have belt drive instead of shaft drive. Does any one know why they would like belt drive over shaft drive? Thanks any information I would appreciate.
