I got an e-mail from Jamie the other day, saying that the owners of Primedia were not going to publish Motorcycle Escape magazine after all. Jamie was not happy with that decision. She said that she would be leaving the magazine. I hate to see here leave Motorcycle Cruiser, she is one of the best in the business,in my opinion. I hope that she reconsiders. If not, she will be sorely missed!!

According to info that was published in Motorcycle Cruiser and Motorcycle Escape Primedia was going to publish Motorcycle Escape as a quarterly magazine. It looks like that is not going to happen. It's a good read. I will miss it.

Art Friedman (the original editor) and Jamie Elvridge have both left the magazine and trhe company. They are shown together in the picture here for editors: http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/newsandupdates/
But they aren't listed when you click through here:

My subscription has one more issue to go or I'd cancel it now..

I heard he left a month and a half ago. I was sorry to hear it. I hope they keep Mark Zimmerman, as he's *** Sometimes publishers are penny-wise and pound foolish. I wish Jamie and Art the best and I hope to read their byline again soon. Jim L

I just joined the group to see if I could find out what happened. Maybe I'll see them at the dealer show. I liked Jamie

It was yesterday when I bought the newest issue that I found out Jamie had left. I'll still buy the mag but I will miss her. Hopefully someone will hear where she turns up.

I don't think I will renew. Mark Zimmerman is the only reason I might. I have a few issues with the changes. I am not sure it was wise to can Art and Jamie. That's a fine thanks for all you have done. The other thing is after reading the current issue, I have to say it's downhill from here. Cherney doesn't have it. Hisi review of the victory lacked critical thinking and was bland. I get the feeling we will lose the cutting honesty that Jamie and Art had. This may please advertisers, but not readers. I also don't like the changes at Motorcyclist, and I am NOT going to renew there. It's turning into a sport bike oriented mag. For now I will stick with CW, may be MO 9probably not) and MC (still undecied), and I may try Roadbike. Primedia may like to shake up the masthead every five years, but they never go far enough up the food chain. Good luck Jamie and Art no matter what you do and I hope to read your byline somewhere. Jim

I am new to motorcyles and I enjoyed Motorcycle escape magazine. This is the type of riding I want to do. Not into Speed just cruising.Loved the articles Jamie wrote in Motorcycle escape. Hope she comes back or starts another magazine.

I have read through the blog and my sentiments have already been expressed by others. I have allowed my subscription to lapse and am disappointed that Motorcycle Escapes will not be published. How are we going to find out who Jamie is writing for? I am obviously a great fan as are many of you.
