Hi Guys I am about to buy a 2000 model desperado suzuki for around 2500$ its not a second hand its 3rd hand and needs some maintenance like new tyres etc, could you suggest if I go for it or buy a brand new chinese bike for 1000$ only the look is great but I don't know whats inside that chinese bike, please help asap.  

From what I have heard about the Chinese bikes is that they are extremely hard to find parts for when you need them.  

HI. I would buy the Suzuki. Parts are easy to get.Aftermarket has lots of stuff. There is an endless amount of things you can buy and do to the bike. Tires are not that expsensive. You can install them yourself. That way you save some $$ for more stuff.
I don't have any experience with the Chinese bikes. If the dealer and service is anything like the tractors that the Chinese sold GOOD LUCK on getting any parts or work done
