i bought the m109r late last fall, and so havent really even broke it in yet, but was curious if anyone had experimented with the exhaust to make it somewhat louder. dont get me wrong, it has a nice low mellow sound to it, but sometimes a little louder would be nice. i also was wondering if anyone had put mustache bars, or engine guards on this bike as to give added footpegs for some of those longer road trips. pros or cons?

I also own a M109R and have installed Cobra Dragsters which are a lot louder than stock. Louder than I'd like but I needed to make additional room for the passenger pegs so I could lower them to a more comfortable position. We sell Cobra and Vance & Hines pipes for the 109. both are great quality but any aftermarket pipe you change to will be significantly louder than stock. I am currently making new custom baffles for mine so I can make it quieter. Cobra should install quieter baffles from the start. For more options for foot placement, consider some Kuryakyn 4467 Swingwing pegs. I'm using them on my Suzuki and they really allow me to stretch out.
