I ride a 2006 M109R have experienced diff. sometimes getting into 1st after a long ride, wondering if anyone has had this problem,[and how it can be fixed ]was told that it is one of the down sides of the M109R, since the clutch is a wet system could it have something to do with the oil being used, suggestions are welcomed

It sounds like your clutch/ clutch-brake is out of adjustment,When the clutch is not adjusted properly, it will cause the transmission to stay partially engaged, making it hard to shift. If the clutch brake is too tight, it will stop the transmission too quickly which will not allow the gears to line up when you try to shift.
