Hey Guys... Just looking for advice from anyone who knows or might have dealt with my issue before. I've ridden a sport bike for about 5 years now, and am ready to move up to a cruiser. Especially since I injured my back last year, I just can't ride my R6 for very long anymore.
I've researched, test rode, read up, and know which bike I want to go for, and have even found a great deal on one.
As for my current bike. I got cut off last summer, and unfortunately had to lay my bike down in order to avoid a larger accident, so the right side of my bike has a minor amount of rash (it's not much as it was a fairly low speed accident.) that is completely cosmetic. I had the bike checked out and it is mechanically in great shape, but just haven't really spent the money to fix the plastics because the bike still worked great and I don't have a ton of money laying around.
So Question Being... in th long run, would it be better for me to trade in the damaged bike, or is it going to make enough difference in the offered trade in price to fix it this winter and buy the new bike next spring
Any advice would be great... thanks

I know that plastic is very expensive on the sport bikes. My son has bought some for his wheeling experience. But put yourself in the other guys shoes, would you buy a sport bike that the plastic is broken. The first thing you would think is that this bike has been treated roughly. So yes I would try to replace the plastic and maybe sell the bike outright first, then if no luck, try trading it in. I am sure you can find a deal a lot better with a great looking bike.
