Not only yes but *** YES.
A properly repaired tire is as good as new given the puncture is not excessively large and the cord body is intact.

....and your willing to bet your life that it won't suddenly loose air as your traveling 70 mph on the interstate.

The only "patch" I trust is the mushroom type that is installed from the inside of the tire. The "tip" goes into the hole. I've never had one come loose and usually my very experienced mechanic at my Honda dealership does it.

I've had my share of punctures over the years and on the tubeless rims, I just plug them and go on.
A simple puncture does not damage the cords, but using the abrasive tool to enlarge the puncture hole will. If the hole is too tiny for your plugs, get smaller plugs. Do not use that abrasive tool unless you want to damage the tire.

I've plugged many many tires and experienced not ONE failure - but they were car tires. On a bike, I would professionally patch a bike tire and would only rely on a plug long enough to get to the patch shop! I carry a plug kit and small 12V air pump when I'm cruising.

Tires are cheap, your ass ain't! Plugging a tire on the road for immergency to get home is ok in my book. But personally I would replace the tire when I got home, or atleast put a tube in it. I wouldn't trust a plug by itself, after a flat, unless I had a tube in the tire.
