Does anyone have any suggestions for a windshield for this bike? Are the handlebar mounted ones okay or should I have a better one put on? Bike is used mainly to go back and forth to work, and occasionally on weekend rides. Thanx in advance.  

I'm kind of in the same boat (looking for the right windshield for my v-star 650).  I got a factory screen that was about 11" tall because I didn't want a sail out front affecting handling.  MAN was that a mistake. It took the air off my chest, which was nice, but at 50mph and higher, it directed the turbulent air straight at my visor which caused the whole helmet to vibrate, not to mention the deafening wind noise.  

I'd suggest getting one taller than 17", but I haven't tried one yet - I wasted this month's 'allowance' on the 11" screen hehe.
