A friend bought a 1500cc Vulcan a few months ago. It recently developed an oil leak. This guy is not mechanically inclined so my husband offered to take a look at it. He knows motorcycles, but is not familiar with the Vulcan. He says it's getting oil into the intake system. It's a bad enough leak that oil is coming out the tailpipe. It also cuts out and sputters when you take it down the road ( spark plug foul?). We were wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what was the cause. Hate to send this guy to a shop if it's something simple that my husband can fix at home for him. If you need more info, please let me know, I will ask and relate whatever you need. Don't know what year it is. If it matters we can find out. Thank you.  

sounds like the valves but by the date on this post he must of gotten a new bike  

Sounds like he over filled it with oil...
